During our lives, we are constantly affected by the people around us. Behaviours are copied, words are added to our vocabulary and patterns of movements are adapted to our own personality. So, how does one actually grow as a person? First off there is no improvement or life changing development that can happen in a night. It takes time to grow. Even something as small as implementing a new habit can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days and an average of 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic.
When you have decided that you want to change, make sure to figure out exactly what areas this will apply to. Don’t get hung up in the process or think thoughts like “I don’t think I can do this” or “Maybe I should wait a couple months”. When you know exactly what you want to get better at and improve in you are ready to begin your journey.
